Election #2 Cover Mock-Up

[Eric W]

Hey, guys! I thought I would end the year by posting a black-and-white version of the Election #2 cover I've been working on! The final version will be all coloured and shtuff, but I thought I'd post a little mock-up first.

Enjoy!

UPDATE: After some thinking, I've decided that I won't use this as the actual Election #2 cover. It will still serve as a promotional image, but I have a much cooler idea for the cover. Stay tuned!

Election 1 Progress

[Eric W]

Hey everyone!
Over the holiday break, I've been working rigorously on finishing the first issue of my comic series, Election! I'm currently working on the 26th of what I expect to be 28-30 pages. A bit of a chunky first issue, but there's a lot to get through, so I feel it's worth it.

Here's a brief glimpse at some of the stuff in the first issue - the quality's a bit crude, since I took the photos with my dinosauric digital camera, but I thought I would just show a bit of it.

I'm hoping to get the first issue sent off to the printers at www.ka-blam.com by early January. Stay tuned...

Elena

[Eric D]

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas and happy holidays... Here's a W.I.P. of Elena from Street Fighter. I wanted to do something for my 1000th page view on devart, kinda an excuse to draw something. So here's a rough sketch, took me awhile to make a pose I liked. No references here folks! I intend to make this picture shine, with some coloring and such. Hope everyone has a great New Year's filled with partying ^o^

Ciao!

Happy Holidays!

Now that the second Monthly Draw-Off is all wrapped up, we at Three Pillar Studios would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season!

Expect the theme for the third Monthly Draw-Off to be announced within the next two weeks.

Monthly Draw-Off 2: Minh

[Minh]

Hey guys! I'm finally done, lol. Here's Cammy White from Street Fighter in all her red and green glory. I know I'm a day late but I had to work the other day and didn't get much done. This took me about a week to do using a new CG style I learned recently. After I get the hang of it more, I'll post a tutorial or something. I know the background is rushed, but it was the last thing on the list, and not really planned. Anywho, later days guys, and have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!

Monthly Draw-Off 2: Eric D

[Eric D]

Alright heres the truth people...this was a rush job...I started to color this one with full intent on making in look nice, but I got frustrated, and decided to cel-shade. Also, I realize I don't meet the criteria of this months draw-off due to the fact that I don't have a background....I apologize -_-;
Reason this is a rush job....well, as I predicted, this past week was an insane one for me and it did not allow much time for me to think about this one...I like the line art and I would love to redo this one, but not now..I wanted to post it by the deadline and I have. Look out for redone version of this one soon ^_^

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! (^o^)

Monthly Draw-Off 2: Eric W

[Eric W]

It's that time again for our Monthly Draw-Off!
For the holiday season theme, I decided to draw a piece featuring Spider-Man's lady love, Mary Jane Watson! I used my Copic Markers for the first time in a while to colour this one, and I think it turned out all right.

Anyways, hope you all enjoy it!

Now to work on that Christmas pic X_X

Untitled WIP

[Eric D]

Alright, well I had this idea of an instrument which is a turntable and a guitar combined...and I wanted to draw it, sooooo...I did ^_^; I'm really pleased so far. Undecided about his headwear, if any...any ideas? This probably wont be finished for a while, because I have a lot of school work coming up and other pieces to finish.I plan to put maximum effort into this one. Any advice, tips, comments, suggestions, whatever would be appreciated at this stage..seeing as it is still in pencil and easily correctable. stay tuned!

Jamie Madrox

[Eric W]

My first ever try at Jamie Madrox, Multiple Man - leader of X-Factor Investigations. I tried to semi-emulate the colouring style of the awesome Jose Villarubia (hence the muted, green/brown tones). I hope I did the character justice...

Draw-Off #1 Complete!

Well, Folks, the first Monthly Draw-Off is complete! Stay tuned for an announcement as to the subject of new month's Draw-Off, and new artwork from the three of us, of course!

Monthly Draw-Off 1: Eric D

[Eric D]

Well here it is...I took a crack at Psylocke. Overall, I am pretty pleased with this. This was great coloring practice...I think/hope I'm getting better at it. Ugetsu Hakua's work was really influential to this piece...don't know if you can tell, but I took references from
flamboyant (his art book which I recently picked up) especially for the hair, eyes and general coloring. To lazy to do a background for this one...maybe sometime later.

Monthly Draw-Off 1: Eric W

[Eric W]

It's monthly draw-off time, boys and girls! Since the theme was X-Women, I decided to draw my favourite X-Woman, Emma Frost - The White Queen.
I had a blast doing this, and I'm semi-happy with the 20 minute cell colour job I did.

Hope you all enjoy it!

Monthly Draw-Off 1: Minh

[Minh]

Alright! As you all know, its the end of the month, and that means its time for a pic. This month's theme was women of x-men, and so I've done Phoenix (aka. Jean Grey-Summers). I liked her red and gold costume as apposed to the green, gold, and black one. Enjoy, and later days!

Election Webcomic

[Eric W]

I've decided to put the first issue of Election up as a webcomic!

Here's the link! I'm updating it once a week on Monday (or occasionally twice, if I'm feeling particularly jolly).

Anyways, hope you all enjoy it! The site is great for artists wanting to get their work out there.

Epsilon Realm

This was just a little pinup I did for a comic called Epsilon Realm, published by Ronin Studios. I think it might be included at the back of one of the issues, but I'm not sure. Anyways, it was fun to do, and I got to try out drawing some Japanese-themed backgrounds.

Sketchhhhh

Heylo everyone,

This is a sketch I did in class recently...I was really bored listening to all those presentations, so decided to do something productive...turned out okay I guess, just a sketch. Hopefully I will get over this block X_X

Elf Concept

Due to Eric W.'s nagging lol, kidding, I've decided to post a pic of an elf concept that I had done a few weeks ago. I was originally going to use it as a base for a character of mine, but had made some changes to the actual race. I'll be posting other stuff about my world later on. Enjoy guys. Later days

Hey!

Hey everyone!
Just thought I'd say hi. I'll fill you guys in about my situation:
I am currently in a natural art block, however I believe its due to my school work. So once I get past all these projects which seem to be clumped together, I shall be posting some sketches and stuff along those lines here and also some finished pieces of work. I'm very eager to pick up my pencil right now and start drawing away, unfortunately I don't have that luxury right now.

On a completely unrelated topic...I have started to play World Of Warcraft...I am becoming more and more addicted as the days go by. It is very fun, but in the long run probably a waste of time and money T_T;...but fun none the less!

Ciao!

Election #1 Cover

Here's the cover for a creator-owned comic series I'm working on called Election (larger image can be found on my deviantART gallery). A very talented colourist and friend named Ewout Brons coloured this one for me. The comic is essentially a political twist on organized religion, and will explore a number of theological and social issues plaguing modern society. It's being published with Ronin Studios and should be out by the end of the year.
